Luscious Pink Oregon Sunstone .74ct
$75.00
Isn’t she pretty in pink?
Oregon Sunstone comes in many colors, from peachy pink to clear, to golden champagne to intense red and green, teal, and of course that classic orange red. The “true pink” like this is one of those colors that sometimes get overlooked but are quite beautiful, especially set in white gold, platinum, or sterling.
This relatively small stone only measures 7x5mm and weighs .74ct but packs a punch in the color department. This one would be great in a ring or a pendant.

If you look at the close-up photos, you can see that the color comes from thousands of microscopic bits of copper that form parallel lines inside the stone. Sometimes, the stone is cut in such a way that the streaks are turned into an amazing constellation pattern.
The "scissor"cut of this stone also helps with the light refraction, making it perfect for a ring or a pendant.

The color and the "schiller," which is the word for those flecks of copper you see throughout this stone, are just incredible. This stone is a one-of-a-kind and deserves to be in a high-end jewelry piece. If you have clients who love the unusual, they'll love this gemstone.
Oregon Sunstone is the official state gemstone of Oregon and only found in one very rugged and secluded area of Eastern Oregon. Its rarity is because this is the only area in the world to find a naturally occurring copper bearing feldspar material.
Bicolor cushion Oregon Sunstone 8.83ct
$2,207.00
This is one of those Oregon Sunstones you only see once in a while. Its depth of color is absolutely breathtaking. The dark green accented with coppery red schiller is mesmerizing.
Oregon Sunstone is rare in the world of feldspar in that it contains copper. Most stones will only show a little hint of this copper when they display a little aventurescence, that inner glow seen as it flashes in the sunlight. About 10% of these stones will display any color at all, usually a pinkish peach color. Then there's the 1%rs. Stones like the one you're seeing here that are so rare they must be used to create a custom-made masterpiece.
This particular stone is 8.83ct and measures 14.4x11mm. It would make a very impressive cocktail ring or pendant.
Dark pink AAA schiller Oregon Sunstone 1.02ct
$75.00
Here's a nice little Oregon Sunstone with some fantastic color and copper schiller.
Oregon Sunstone is such a fun material because no two stones are ever 100% alike. This one has that AAA copper schiller, and the color is a nice dark pink, a little less orange than some. The color is almost what I'd call a Padparadscha pink.
There are many legends around Oregon Sunstone and Sunstone in general. The Northern Piute legend is that a great warrior fell wounded by an enemies arrow. The warriors blood carried his spirit into the stones, staining them red and giving them sacred power.
The Norse were known to have used calcite to be able to determine the location of the sun on overcast days, but this is different from the silicate feldspar we know as Sunstone today.
While there are other feldspar materials known as Sunstone, Oregon Sunstone is the only one with the unique copper inclusions.
This particular gem weighs 1.02ct and measures 6mm. It's cut into a cute cushion design that would work well in a ring or a small pendant.
Golden schiller 1.9ct Oregon Sunstone trillion
$67.00
People sometimes scoff at the idea of a champagne colored Oregon Sunstone. They're much more common than the pinks, reds, or greens, but sometimes they can be just as beautiful.
The fact that they're more common also means a very affordable price.
This 1.9ct Oregon Sunstone trillion is champagne in color with a little bit of copper schiller to add some extra sparkle. In the sun, you'll see shades of pink and green in it as well as that golden champagne color.
The size is perfect for a ring or a pendant at 8.3mm.
Green schiller 2.55ct Oregon Sunstone
$384.00
Here's an Oregon Sunstone for your next ring, pendant, or brooch. This is a splendid example of a bi-color stone, primarily green but showing of some peachy schiller, especially in the sun. Be sure to look through the photos and see how she changes with LED vs. natural sunlight.
Oregon Sunstone is an all natural, never treated stone that only comes from a small area of the northeastern part of the state. The color and the sometimes extra sparkly effect called schiller come from the thousands of microscopic bits of copper, naturally infused into the stone. Green is one of the rarest colors of this magnificent gemstone.
This particular stone weighs 2.55ct and measures 6x12.5mm.
Huge 17.25ct Golden Champagne Oregon Sunstone
$360.00
This stone has golden overtones with hints of green. It measures 15.3x15.3 and is 12.5mm deep. This would make an amazing pendant.
Oregon Sunstone, the state's official gemstone, comes in colors ranging from warm pinks and brilliant red or reddish orange to deep green and teal, but champagne is the most common color found. The colors come from microscopic copper platelets within the stone. Sometimes, they appear as bright coppery "schiller," and other times, they appear as colors in the stone. Many stones will have both.
Typically, Oregon Sunstone crystals are not big enough to produce a stone of this size. Many crystals found are 5-20ct. A stone of 50-60cts is rare.
