Bring the Fire: One-of-a-Kind Oregon Sunstone Gemstone (2.1ct, 7.43×7.5mm)
This one’s got serious pizzazz. With glowing orangish-red at the center, green along the edges, and a brilliant flash of golden copper schiller dancing across the surface, this 2.1 carat Oregon Sunstone is a natural showstopper. Measuring 7.43 x 7.5mm, it’s the perfect size for a bold statement piece—whether it becomes the center of a pendant, ring, or other heirloom-quality design.
What makes it even more special? This gem was self-mined by me from the famed Dust Devil Mine just outside of Plush, Oregon in June 2021. It was then entrusted to renowned master gem cutter Mike Soebbing of Montana, known for his precision and artistry (see more at thegemstoneman.com). The result is a completely American-sourced and finished treasure—mined, cut, and polished entirely in the USA.
Oregon Sunstone is a cuprian labradorite feldspar, formed between 14 and 15 million years ago by ancient volcanic activity. Unlike mass-produced or imported gemstones, Oregon Sunstone is incredibly rare, found only in a small region of Eastern Oregon. It’s beloved for its natural shimmer, color range, and unique internal sparkle caused by copper inclusions—an effect known as aventurescence.
If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind gem that tells a story and turns heads, this is it. Make something unforgettable with it—and let it speak for itself.
