3.48ct Green/ pink bicolor Oregon Sunstone

Who doesn't love Oregon Sunstone with copper schiller? This stone is absolutely loaded with streaks of coppery goodness. If you look at the close-up photos, you can see that the color comes from thousands of microscopic bits of copper that form parallel lines inside the stone. Sometimes, the stone is cut in such a way that the streaks are turned into an amazing constellation pattern. The "scissor"cut of this stone also helps with the light refraction, making it perfect for a ring or a pendant. This stone weighs 2.75ct and measures 11x7.5mm.

People sometimes scoff at the idea of a champagne colored Oregon Sunstone. They're much more common than the pinks, reds, or greens, but sometimes they can be just as beautiful. The fact that they're more common also means a very affordable price. This 1.9ct Oregon Sunstone trillion is champagne in color with a little bit of copper schiller to add some extra sparkle. In the sun, you'll see shades of pink and green in it as well as that golden champagne color. The size is perfect for a ring or a pendant at 8.3mm.

Oregon Sunstone, the always natural and untreated state gem is a rare feldspar containing copper, which gives it not only a wide range of colors, but also the aventurescent quality called "schiller" from thousands of microscopic bits of copper inside the stone. Usually, these crystals get only as large as 60-70cts before being cut. Often, bigger crystals have fractures, which makes cutting large stones over 10cts difficult. This stone, however, is not the norm. It weighs a massive 22.9ct and measures 23x17mm. It's the largest stone in my inventory. Just being large isn't the only thing that makes this stone special, though. The tri-color green, pink, and gold or "mystique" color is one of the rarest for Oregon Sunstone.
