This Oregon Fire Opal has some great personality. Instead of being the typical transparent brightly colored stone we’re used to seeing, this one has more opacity due to the reddish inclusions caused by the lava matrix within the stone. The result is spectacular and would look great in a ring, pendant, or brooch.
Oregon Fire Opal is mined in Lake County, Oregon, and generally has an orange or amber color. This piece is one of a kind!

3.14ct Oregon Fire Opal
This 3.14ct Oregon Fire Opal really brings the heat!
Mined in the Eastern Oregon Outback near Juliper Ridge in 2020.
The color is a darker reddish honey amber and would go great set in either yellow gold or sterling silver.
The size is nice and big, as you can see in the photo next to the quarter. It measures 11.7x7mm and is a very deep 6.7mm.
This stone would make a fantastic pendant or brooch.
5.84ct Oregon Fire Opal flatback “lens cut”
This Oregon Fire Opal is a "flatback" or "rosette" but this cut really makes the most of the stone.
It throws amber and gold opalescence with its "lens cut" and would look great in a design where you can see the pattern of the metal behind it bending as a result of this faceting design.
The weight is 5.84ct, and the size is a huge 16.2x10.7mm. It would be perfect in a large pendant, perhaps with a halo of stones in a color that compliments the amber color, such as imperial topaz, citrine or even ametrine to shake the color up a bit.
Whatever you choose, this stone is sure to be an attention grabber.

Oregon Fire Opal rosette. I love the way that little red streak looks going across. This would make an incredible pendant or ring.
Weighing 1.81ct and measuring 10.6x8.3mm. It does have a low dome at only 2 7mm.
Juniper mountain Fire Opals are known for their beautiful color and flash, and this one doesn't disappoint.
