Pink diaspore from Afghanistan 1.26ct

$378.00
This pink diaspore from Afghanistan has such a captivating color. There's a slight change in incandescent or low light compared to bright white light where it will turn more pink or more lavender. This material was first brought to market in 2020, so it's very new. The little inclusions just add to the unique look of this stone. It's about a 6.5-7 on mohs scale. How would you set this long, slender gem? The stone measures 13.5x3.4mm. Weight is 1.26ct.

Looking for a unique gift idea? Pink diaspore is a rare and remarkable gemstone known for its captivating pink hues, ranging from soft blush to vibrant fuchsia. This gemstone exhibits a mesmerizing color-changing phenomenon, displaying different shades depending on the lighting conditions. It transitions from a delicate pink in natural daylight to a warm mauve or champagne tone under incandescent lighting, making it truly unique and versatile. Pink/purple diaspore 2.86ct

$858.00
Do you like rare gemstones? Have you heard of Pink Diaspore? This lavender to pink diaspore was first discovered in the Nangarhar province of Afghanistan in 2019 and started making its way to dealers in Peshawar Pakistan in 2020. Since we were in the middle of a worldwide pandemic at the time, this stone did not garner much attention, however one of my brokers in Pakistan got me some rough and I found it to be very interesting. There are small tubular inclusions in the stone, which can be seen under magnification. These add some great light refraction. The color goes from almost a hot pink at some angles to a soft lavender color. The hardness is 6.5-7 and can be worn as a pendant, brooch, or with care as a ring. This stone weighs 2.86ct and measures 9.6x5.9mm. Priced at a reasonable $300/ct, the total price for this stone is $858. Most dealers are now charging over $400/ct for this material.

Portuguese cut bi-color 6.7ct Oregon Sunstone

$1,695.00
OMG! This Oregon Sunstone is an absolute showstopper. I am tempted to set it into a piece, but I'd rather see it go into someone's own custom jewelry creation. Each Oregon Sunstone is unique, and this one is a unicorn for sure. Weighing 6.7ct, it measures 11.5mm around and 9.7mm deep. When I saw this rough, I knew it had to be a deep cut, and this Portuguese with 161 facets really does it justice. Look at the brilliance here. In natural light or artificial, the green and coppery pink bi-color nature of this all natural stone really shines through. Imagine a custom ring or pendant with this, set in yellow gold, rose gold, white gold, or platinum. This will always get people talking. This is the rarest color Oregon Sunstone there is, and it can be yours at miner direct pricing for far less than the typical retail price.
